Screening at the Sofia Internationl Film Fest

The world biggest short-film label ''Future Shorts'' presents an exclusive selection of short-films and music videos together with a live perfomance otf the Bulgarian jazz/chill band Phuture Shock. The event will take place on Wensday, 17 March at Sofia Live Club.

Nomination for ''Canon - Picture ot the year'' award

TPK Humus exhibition, project of Nikola Mihov and Valery Gurov

TPK ‘’Hemus’’ is the major Bulgarian producer of plastics and cardboard games from the time of communism. After the changes TPK ‘’Hemus’’ reduced its production, but continue to exist. Today, all proceedings are terminated in anticipation of better days. The exhibition presents a collection of cardboard games and plastic toys produced by TPK ‘’Hemus’’ from the early 80’s to mid-90’s. The design and the subjects of the cardboard games reflect the changes in Bulgarian society after the fall of communism.
The exhibition will take place in Artnewscafe, Plovdiv from 26th of April to 30th of May, 2009.

Personal Video exhibition in Sofia City Art Gallery

„Sofia City Art Gallery – an inside glimpse’’ the first video exhibition of Nikola Mihov is an attempt at a look beyond exhibition halls, meaning to present gallery employees and the various aspects of their work. All six videos are comprised exclusively of photographs to create a kaleidoscope of vision, events and portraits flashing on the screens. The public is allowed for the first time to follow the processes of exhibition consideration and design, the transformation of gallery space and the addition of new art works to the gallery’s collection. The video works also pay homage to outstanding works by contemporary Bulgarian artists (Luchezar Boyadjiev, Nedko Solakov, Pravdoliub Ivanov, Kalin Serapionov, and Ivan Moudov).

Group Exhibition in the Museum of Romani Culture, Bruno, Czech Republic

Nikola Mihov's photographs featured at the ''Rompien'' exhibition at the Museum of Romani Culture in Burno. The exhibition is showing the traditional life of the Roma people around the world through the lens of 24 photographers. The exhibition is running from 12th of February to 30 th of May 2009.
